The Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has approved funding for the following research awards:

Robert B. Salter Award, recognizing excellence in basic science research:

Cy Frank Award, recognizing excellence in innovation:

CANADIAN ORTHOPAEDIC RESEARCH LEGACY (CORL) GRANTS:

Dr. Maryse Bouchard (Toronto, ON) – “Accelerating the Learning Curve in Pediatric Musculoskeletal Radiograph Interpretation for Orthopedic Surgery Post-Graduate Trainees”

Dr. Anthony Cooper (Vancouver, BC) – “International Field Test and Translation and Cultural Adaptation of LIMB-Q Kids: A new patient reported outcome measure for children with lower limb deformities”

Dr. Neil White (Calgary, AB) – “FROST 2.0: Factors Predicting Orthopaedic Trauma Volumes”

COMMUNITY INNOVATION AWARD:
Dr. Julian B. Sernik (Vernon, BC) – “Simultaneous Physiotherapy and Orthopedic Surgeon Interdisciplinary Care (SPOSIC) is superior to traditional siloed care for knee arthroplasty patients”

CSES RESEARCH GRANT:
Dr. Kenneth Faber and Dr. Kristen Barton (London, ON) for their research proposal entitled: “Perioperative Pain Management for Total Shoulder Arthroplasty: A Pilot Non-Inferiority Trial”
