The Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has approved funding for the following research awards:

Community Innovation Award:

Dr. Oliva Cheng (Collingwood, ON) – “Primary fracture risk screening in total joint replacement patients”

CSES Research Grant, in collaboration with the Canadian Shoulder and Elbow Society:

Dr. Peter Lapner (Ottawa, ON) – “Lower Trapezius Tendon Transfer vs. Partial Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair for Massive Rotator Cuff Tears: A Pilot Randomized Control Trial”

All applications were reviewed and ranked by the Foundation’s Research Review Panel.
