COF update on COVID-19

COF
Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation

The COF continues to monitor the rapidly changing world in light of the COVID-19 virus.

As a virtual organization, we are well-situated to continue much of our work.  Our small staff of three continue to work from their home offices and are available by phone or email.  Surgeons, researchers, patients, donors and friends, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

We are carefully assessing the impact on any COF public gatherings and events scheduled for later in the year (such as our July Bassin Bad to the Bone golf tournament) and will post updates when we have them.

Clinicians offering our GLA:D program are instructed to follow the recommendations that are provided by their respective provincial governments, public health departments, and professional agencies.  If you are a GLA:D patient, contact your local clinic for more information.  Visit the GLA:D website  www.gladcanada.ca.

Like all small charitable organizations, our need for funding continues.  Ongoing support from our donor community is much appreciated.  Thank you.

To the surgeons and other health care workers in the front lines, thank you for all you do to support the health of Canadians.  For those patients recovering from orthopaedic surgeries and those whose scheduled surgeries may be delayed, feel free to browse our virtual library for resources to help you.

Everyone, stay healthy.  And stay connected.
