Talk to Someone

oclogo-enAre you newly referred for bone and joint surgery in Canada? Do you still have non-medical questions after seeing your surgeon?

Ortho Connect is a peer support program through which newly referred orthopaedic patients in Canada are matched with volunteers who have already undergone similar surgical treatment.

Patients connect with trained volunteers by phone to learn a real-world patient view of what to expect from their treatment. Ortho Connect helps patients to feel confident and informed through providing an experienced, understanding ear.

Orthopaedic patients, their caregiver or family member may complete an online request for services form or click here to download a printable version. Based on the information on the request for services, the COF will match clients with a volunteer who has had a similar surgery and lives close by.

Once a match is determined, the Foundation will contact the volunteer who will be given the contact name and phone number only for the client. The Foundation will advise the client of the name of the volunteer that will be contacting them.
